free day yest! so i went about town running errands, cutting my hair, meet up w mary, watch a movie. heh. yeap. went down to ttsh with my mom in the morn. there was some health event held there plus free health screening etc. oh well. and they had this dance item that probably got their inspiration from yoga/pilates.

so glad that my bro came to pick me from ttsh. and off to town!!! :) we both wanted to get a hair cut. so yap. told him to get a wang lihom hair cut instead of his usual ah-peh kind of look. hahaha.. yeap. but well.. let's se how he styles it without the help of stella! hahaha... i trimmed my hair. yet another, waste money kind of hair cut. then bought tickets for borne ultimatum. hahah.. even tho i didn't catch the first two parts of the series. but oh well, it doesnt really matter cos i still managed to know what's going on :) it's easy to understand lah. and it's so action packed. 1hr 50min of action. my bro joined mary and i for the movie. so amazed that he'd join us. hahaa.. sadly he didnt join us for dinner so i didnt manage to get a ride back from him :( did my brows!!!!!! so did mary. even tho supposedly her brows had some kind of problem. hahaha.. but oh well. dinner was at sakae. even tho i swore off jap food aft my trip to japan, i dun think i can manage to keep up with it since i really adore jap food. so yap, cheap jap food it is!

escalator at heeren :)

and this is zahid. eating THE salad on his eat healthy hour! :p
ok enough talk for now. i need to do a little bit of work before going off to school :( why do i still have to go to school? sigh. i wish i could be travelling now. it's not good to go travelling just before school starts. you end up with all sorts of withdrawal symptoms even after that and school does nothing to help :(

mandy: take your time :) -hugs-

i'm having this terrible headache. i think my body is giving way to the horrible school hours and the serious lack of sleep and rest. the past few nights, i didn't sleep well, plagued by all sorts of weird dreams, waking up in the middle of the night cos of them. plus the stupid LT33 that's a giant freezer! it's sth like winter inside. and i didn't bring my jacket and nearly froze to death. it didnt help that it's raining outside. concluded that the colder the weather is, the colder LT33 is. sucks. being put thru lecture is bad enough. now i have to control my shivering and write properly on top of paying attn. wonderful.

had a pleasant surprise today. came in the form of a simple text but i guess that's enough to make me a teeny weeny bit warmer.

yeap! these days, i've beenbaking. it's good therapy. the baking therapy. heh. and i've been successful today. even my mom says it's nice. hahaha.. nutella swirl cupcakes. today, was too lazy to do icing cos i had to rush over to my grandma's so just make do without the icing! hahaha... it's yummy! :) i shall perfect it so that i can bake a proper thing for glen when he's back! :) hee.

shall learn to bake more stuff! eclairs coming up sometime in sept! heehee. for now, cupcakes. one baby step at a time. i'm learning :)

and i shall get to regression aft painting my nails. ruined my nails just mere minutes aft finishing them. argh. shit. tutorials are starting this week! ok, at least i've done what is neded for tmr. aft regression, i'll be done w this week's tuts. don't faint people. make sure your eyes are intact. i really did my tutorials!! hahaha.. let's see how long i can actually keep up with this! :p

wed = free day!!! yeap. wanted to go to town to get a dress that i tried yest, but i decided to save up the money and let that money got to the new-phone-fund. hahaha.. :)

yest, had 6hr break. met zahid in town! hahaha... it was so last min. i talked to him on msn at 6am and he said he'd meet me during my break. hahhaa.. didn't think he'd wake up to meet me but he did! hahaha.. aft running 3km, he almost died but stayed alive so that he could meet me in town! hahaha.... trying to stay healthy, he ate SALAD. i almost died laughing. never seen someone so tortured over eating salad. sigh. dragged him all over shopping (but i didnt get anything) and left him with "the famous xinyi" and went for more lessons in school :(

i think my time table is so screwed. hahaha.. but i planned the tuts properly. in case i want an early weekend or am already in the weekend mood, no tutorials on thurs and fri! hahaha.. ok, but i'll try my best to be a good girl this sem and go for MOST of my lessons! :)

mary: eh.. i didnt even know that my legs were crossed. hahaha....
zahid: what lah?! hahahaha....... i'm a nice best friend.. i know that.. hahaha

and so it's been a boring weekend. w me resting at home most of the weekend.

friday was hectic. met bu in town for some shopping. hahaha.. i must say.. RETAIL THERAPY SUCCESSFUL!!!!!!!!!!! :) bought a dress from warehouse. totally love it. even my mom had to admit that it's nice!!! hahaha.... i'm at the age when i adore dresses. hahaha.. got a ring from a shop called ueno. bu and i decided that we had to check it out to see if it really sells nice stuff like ueno is japan. hahaha.. it's not too bad. hee. and then rushing to school with everyone wondering why i dress up for school. felt so odd. as you know, sci ppl rarely dress up!

at night, waited for sharon aft lessons to make our way to ritz for gordon's 21st. we were supposed to watch fireworks too, but the traffic jam, closed roads and walkways caused us to watch and walk at the same time. it's not too bad. saw some really nice ones. hee. and finally went up to the suite. first time in a suite in ritz man! it's spacious. very spacious. with a terrific view..

here's a photo with the bday boy!!! yesterday, had the sudden urge to bake! hee. so i baked.. cupcakes. first time trying it out. but the icing turned out not bad.. but the cake itself was a little hard. have to modify the recipe a little next time!!!

chocolate and peanut butter cupcakes with chocolate frosting!
yeap.. and it's my ah gong's bday celebrations today! have to go over soon!!!!!!!!!!!!! the good thing about staying in the next block! hahaha...

i am so getting a new phone!!! hahah... my phone got some prob lah! it'll shut off suddenly, like when there's full batt the last time i checked it. and.. i sometimes don't receive msges!!!!!!!! and i have to switch off and on to get a whole load of it, only to realise the most important text is missing! bleah. now just waiting for the phone that i want to be out. then it's new phone time. my bro and i should be getting the same phone. hahaha.. first time ever. my mom almost flipped when she heard that i'm intending to get a new phone. but it's not my fault. phone got prob. hahaa.. but seriously. i love my e65. maybe i'm just looking for an excuse to get a new phone :p

and i'm amazed. i paid attention in class today. copying what is needed, reading the notes, knowing more or less what's gg on (but that's cos most of it is revision now) and i'm dreading stochastic processes. it seems like it's gg to get quite difficult towards the end.. for now, it's still managable. thank goodness i have shanshan taking it w me :)

oh and my complex lecturer is irritating. he thinking that we don't know even the simplest stuff!!! he actually TAUGHT us how to write the symbol for integers!!! as if we don't know!!!! and then he wrote the symbol for natural numbers and told us to GUESS what it stands for!!!!!!! and he even asked us if zero was included in natural numbers!!!!!!! hello!!!!!! we are math students, yr 3 already!!! how can we not know?!? we went through several modules of mathematical analysis, basics of math, etc. i nearly fainted. gg thru all the thing that we learnt in jc for complex. i guess that's good in a way. some of it might be tested in exams. i just dread all the proving and theorems that are coming up..

mandy: i saw cleo at nus sci canteen!!!!!!! hahaha...

and so the first two days of school are over. and i look forward to a free day tmr! :) but. i have tuition, so not completely free. but oh well.. school has been.. BORING! as expected. with 5 core modules, what else should i expect right??? ok, here's the break dow n of the past two days...

monday 13 august 2007... went to school to sell my textbook, then went hunting for stupid lt33. never been there before, only know that it's on the computing side. it has become THE lt of the sem, cos i have 3 modules there!!!!!!!!!

MA3111 Complex Analysis was boring, with loads of revision, and NO notes cos the prof didn't publish the stupid workbin!!!!!!!! but oh well, i got more than i demanded when i got home. he uploaded ALL the lecture notes for the ENTIRE sem. all 209 pages of it. argh!!!!!!!!! he didn't seem to know how to use all the tech-y stuff. a yonnd man needed an old woman (those in nus sci fac will know who she is) to teach him how to use the mic!!!!!!!!!! oh my. and then he went on abt "lawn-zero" variables. he can pronounce "point" perfectly but he can't pronounce the "n" in "non-zero". strange.

ST3236 Stochastic Processes was worse. the lecturer started off by saying that he predicted that a lot of ppl will drop the module. so he wont request for a change of venue till next week. yeah, the lt was over flowing with ppl!!!!!! then he proceeded to "toast" the coin and "toast" the dice. he must be really hungry. oh my. but at least he let us go off early! ended within an hour. shiok!

met the guys and 2 girls aft that at botak jones. yes i finally know where it is. find out where it is only in my 3rd year! and nope, havent tried it cos i was so full!!!!!!! got a lift back to seletar where i took the familiar 854 back to yishun :)

today 14 august 2007 was a super early day! woke up at 5.30am!!!!!!! cos i had a lecture at 8am! MA3236 Non-Linear Programming: i kena cheated cos the prof wasnt even there! he sent a graduate student there! but granted, the grad student was pretty decent looking ;p and i could understand his english. a first from a prc! (besides shanshan lah) and he ended in 1 hr too. so i went home to have nice lunch then visit my ah ma and go for tuition. drove! and my stupid kid refused to believe that i can drive!!!!!!!!!!!! is it that hard to believe?!?!?!?!?!?! argh!!!!!!!!

ST3131 Regression Analysis totally cheated my feelings. i rushed from tuition to school cos i thot i didn't have time. BUT the bloody freaking damn lecture was CANCELLED cos the lecturer was still overseas at conference!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! couldn't he just announce it??? make us wait and wait and wait?!?!?!?!?!? shit! and make me rush like mad?!?!?!!? argh!!!!!!!! but i tried out MEGABITES. the infamous one from arts shifted to sci. it's diff from the one at arts.. it serves western fare, it's air conditioned even tho i recommend that you dont sit inside unless you want to smell of food by the time you get out!!! i guess it's edible lah :p

MA3220 Ordinary Differential Equations by wong yan loi. lecture was boring. i almost fell asleep. you can't blame me. i woke up at 5.30am! i was wondering halfway thru the lect, how the hell am i gg to drive back when i'm SO sleepy!!! but yah, it was introduction but he gave us examples of what we'd see and he had to give physics questions. oh. my favourite. it'll totally capture my attention. thank goodness he ended in 1hr. i would have kicked him for giving such a long intro.

and i made it back home in one piece. feeling tired but i have to watch csi and criminal minds. it's my tues tv fix :)

anw school feels empty without glen. i guess i'm so used to having him ard that i feel like i'm missing an arm now. someone i can always turn to when i am bored, have breaks, company for lunch, etc. but now school is just this place that i go to just for lessons and then back home. but i will make thru the sem even w glen far far away. i have ppl accompanying me for every lecture, that's a good thing. i don't really care abt tutorials, it's just an hour of stoning and hopefully learning sth. but i miss taking bus D. i miss taking 183. i miss that walk to KR. sigh.

i need retail therapy URGENTLY. school is making me depressed. ok, not that bad. but it'd help if the lectures were interesting!!!!!!!!!!!!! help me.

ok, a day before school starts. i have a sucky time table this sem. i have one less (very important) companion in school. i have terrible exam time table. i'm doing five core modules. someone tell me, why do i get a strange feeling that i'm not gg to enjoy this sem???

i should try to sound a little happier. school can still be fun despite all that right??? ummm right. hopefully tat, kk, adrian are gg to be of some help when it comes to company in school. at least i think i can count on tat to study with me :p yeah, guys fresh out of army will go crazy in school cos they've been deprived of two years of studying, they must let out all the pent up mugger-ness in them. heh.

was reading an article in the papers abt how teens spend so much money on clothes, make up and skincare.. and there's a girl who has five must-do facial regimes in the morn, and another time at night. oh my. where do these girls find the time and discipline to do all that??? and then go to school late as a result?? is it worth it???? ok, i never believed in the kind of girls are entitled to be late just cos they need to dress up. cos if you know you need to dress up or have all that facial stuff to do, you should then wake up earlier! same goes for the bf should wait for gf and the gf can be 1hr late. i just don't understand. ok, it's just me. i'm a freak when it comes to punctuality. bleah.

packed my table. all ready for the new sem. wish i could clear my shelf a little more. need more room for new textbooks and notes. i'll try my best not to buy any texts tho. they take up a lot of space. heh. and yeah, i rarely use them anyway! so oh well..

new sem resolution:
to not leave studying till reading week and cramming everything last min. ummmm ok i shall be more realistic. finish help sheets and tagging of notes (have open book exams this sem) before the exam day itself. last sem, i was still doing help sheets on the morning of the paper. hee.

havent been blogging much cos there's nth really exciting gg on in my life except for the fact that school is starting. oh. that's really exciting.

went out w the guys and becky and janice on tues. playing board games. they got me hooked on board games. hahaha... and then on to dinner at thai express and then dessert at gelare cos it's tuesday! waffles at half price!!! :) wanted to watch a movie initially but there weren't any suitable time slots. so it's more board games. heh. cluedo at smu. and we played till like... 4plus!!!! didn't even realise that time passed SO quickly!!!!!!!!! got back only at about 5.45am. got a scare from my lift. it was stuck at the 10th level, door open, nobody going in but it refuses to go down!!!!!!! freaked out man!!!!!!!!!!!! so it's off to take another lift and running home and closing the door quickly. freaky. called glen to talk for a short while and it's off to bed...... for 4hrs of sleep...

met the hc ppl on wed!!! k box time! heh. it's fun. it's always fun togo k box w them. but i was really very tired. so felt a bit sian sian. but the guys are entertainiing. singing their signature songs... amigos para siempre, ben4 xiao3 hai2, etc... too bad.. not enough time to finish singing. went back early cos i was so tired.

9 august - national day. oh wow. the parade was so so.. first time that the navy could have their own showcase cos it's at marina bay. heh. but i guess they did put water to good use. prob ripped the stuff from the old musical fountain. hahaha...

today... another day of nua-ing at home before school starts. wanted to go shopping. but since students dont have to go to school, i have a strange feeling that orchard will be filled with ppl, so.. na... i can't shop w crowds. shall go back another weekday. bleah.

5 mths and counting!!!! :) :)
4 mths or less till glen comes back!!!!!!!!

met mary on saturday. bu was supposed to come along but she had rock climbing with her sister! heh. anw caught secret with mary at cathay. i must say that jay chou's acting didn't improve at all, the start of the movie felt like any one of his mv, despite the twist at the end, it was unrealistic. hahaha.. but it's an ok movie.. watch-able. and mary kept holding on to me!!!! she claims that she's been conned cos supposedly (totally according to her only) the romance theme turned into horror for her. and i must emphasize, it is NOT horror. heh. it's damn funny. i think it's quite sad for smu students. even when you're away from school, you still see your school and get reminded of the numerous days that you're stuck there, rushing projects and presentations...
and dear mary is insistent on gg on a diet. hahah.. ganbatte!! and so we had a very healthy dinner!!!!!!!! look at MY dinner! salad!!!! prawn and fruit salad from swenson's. it even had the healthier choice logo next to it. i was SO proud of myself. hahaha.. healthiest meal ever in my entire life so far. glen should be proud of me. hahaha... :p
mary had caeser salad, minus the dressing, changed it to olive oil. how healthy is that! but she complained that the olive oil is not virgin enough, doesn't taste that nice. heh. and the huge utensils given to toss our salad!!!!!!!! it's fun :) hahaha
met ali and the guys yesterday. went to pepper lunch cos ali craved it. heh. and zg was 1.5hrs late!!!!!!!!!! argh!!!!!!!!!!!!!! how can ppl not bother to be more punctual????????? nvm. and then zahid dragged me to watch soccer with the rest of the guys at cheryl's place!!!!!!!! i nearly fainted. me? soccer? don't go. heh. it was the man u and chelsea match which man u won. the penalty shoot out was entertaining tho! heh. and cheryl had the biggest tub of gummies ever!!! 2.1kg worth of it! hahaha..

the ntu ppl had to go back cos they had school the next day. awww... and we went to KAP macs for supper. zahid was hungry, i was craving for sth salty. so we ate. and josh lay sleeping beside zahid. hahaha... wanted to leave zg behind when he was on the phone. but aiyah.. didn't work cos he hung up too early. heh.

and here's the guy.. pretending that he's some superstar. hahaha.. one of the 3 shitfriends. heh.more meet-ups before school starts! sigh. i don't want school to start................

Day 11 - Hotel New Otani, Back to Singapore

this is the last day here. last day in japan, the place that i've always wanted to go. almost time to go back. got seats in the 12.50pm airport bus back to narita airport. one last look in the hotel and it's surroundings. view from our room, which was on the 35th level. in the bus. really really didn't want to go back to singapore. our last meals in tokyo. strawbery shortcake at the hotel and katsu curry at the airport. the food was delicious as usual even though it was a little ex. but food at airports and hotels are always over priced right?? heh.
could finally reach glen at the airport. felt better and all ready to hit tokyo all over again. hahaha.. told bu that all i need is a internet cafe visit once in a while and i'm ok with extending our stay in japan :) didn't want to go back. thought we'd do some last min shopping at the airport. luckily we shopped outside too, got nail polish again. when we went in, the only shops that greeted us were cartier, hermes, ralph lauren, ferragamo, etc. shops that we definitely wouldn't buy anything! bleah.

our fates were sealed when we boarded the plane. felt so miserable when the plane took off. made a mental note that i'll definitely be back :) next trip, kyoto, osaka, tokyo :) but now, it's back to saving money. spent every single cent that i brought there plus the usd that my mom gave me plus sign card. oh man! who told me that there's nothing to buy at tokyo?!? major saving money now!!!!!! so that i can travel more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

thinking about it, i want to go to nz. like asap! to see glen and amanda. but.... budget contraints. sorry dears, can't make it there anytime soon unless i strike lottery! hahaha....

places that i want to go... nz (asap), europe (prob not so soon, glen? hahaha), japan (yes, again), taiwan (bu makes it sound like a shopping heaven) i love travelling!!!!! now i know that it's possible to travel by yourselves even in a place where you don't really know their language. but.. well, know enough to survive!

Day 10 - Ueno, Asakusa, Sumida River Fireworks

the daily papers were delivered to our doorstep every morning, brought in by housekeeping. and well, to appreciate all these, have to read a little right? so yeah, read the front page. haha.. the sincerity shone through. locals were given japanese papers, while people like us were given the english version!
and the wonderful du2 shu1 ramen!!!!!! it's special cos the eating place is divided into cubicles, like what you see at any library!!!!!! so people can just eat alone without feeling weird. and you order your food by buying a ticket from a vending machine! then you specify what you want your ramen to be like, how you want the meat to be, any garlic, etc. and the ramen did not disappoint!!! it's damn nice!!!!!!!!!!!!! not too ex too! only 750yen a bowl. that's about S$9.40. crystal jade price ba.. cheap by japan's standards.. heh.shopping continued at ABAB at ueno. and yah, tried random sunglasses! hahahaha.... damn toot. this is so reputation damaging lah! more earrings here. as you can tell, i totally love buying earrings. another thing we went crazy over... nail stickers and nail polish!!! they are so pretty!!!! and so much cheaper than those in singapore. saw one that singapore sells, same brand and all, sg sells it for S$13.90.. but it's only 500yen there, that's S$6.25!!! less than half the price!!! just grab! hahahah... continued by Blue Label again. bu got her capris there while i got my blouse. so pretty!!!!!!! besides, it's only available in japan!!! exclusive stuff! shiok. ppl, if you go to japan, you have to go to Burberry's Blue Label! wanted to buy for my bro but the store at ueno offered only ladies wear. too bad! :pmade our way to asakusa. it was damn crowded!!!!!!!!! went to the temple to get the fu2 for my grandma. and then to the tempura restaurant recommended by monica. it was real good. light and fluffy with excellent quality of ingredients used by the chefs. it was perfect. and i've never eaten such huge prawns in my life. it's jumbo tiger prawns. they were huge.sensoji temple against the setting sun. so pretty..we sat down at the temple to wait for the fireworks, following the many japanese camping there. it was really crowded. this time we went prepared. we brought our hotel laundry bags! hahaha.. water proof and big. heh.

it was more crowed than the adachi ward fireworks. the sumida river fireworks are supposedly the most famous in japan, held on the last saturday of july, i think the whole of tokyo was there. hahaha...
have you ever seen coca cola in a carton??????? i have!!! first time ever! please ignore that hairy leg, it's not mine lah... mine's definitely sexier. hahahahahah....
a kind and very pretty japanese girl took this photo for us. she was probably one of the rare japanese girls with very little make up on. she has such nice complexion and really pretty eyes. waited for the fireworks there, and then realised that we won't be able to see. somehow i have a strange feeling that the govt changed it this year such that ppl can't see from the temple! sneaky! so we walked down and got half a view. but it was so pretty!!!!!!!!!!! it's 1.5hrs long. the amount put into the air was like singapore's except that singapore's one lasts for only 15min max. there was more variety in the effects. and it's sth that everybody in japan enjoys.
put up some online. but my videos don't do the fireworks justice. they are so much better real life. the next time i go, i'll make sure that i book seats. even if they cost 12,000yen (S$150) at least we get a unblocked view, get to relax, don't have to squeeze with the crowd.
Fireworks One
Fireworks Two
Fireworks Three
so reluctant to go back that night. cos it'll be the last night in japan..... sigh....

Day Nine - Sanrio Puroland, Shibuya

taking pictures in the train. got o try the different types of trains today. th train we took was the express one, there were local ones and rapid ones. and i realised that i always look so tired in pictures!!!!!!!!!! bleah. seriously, i wasn't that tired. hahaha... and the amazing trains in japan had blinds!!!!!!!!!! so that we don't get any glaring sun in our faces. hahaha.... wonderful!arrived at sanrio puroland very quickly. it's like a child's dream. ok, i liked sanrio stuff when i was a kid, all the hello kitty, little twin stars, my melody, etc. so coming here was like satisfying the inner child in me :) went crazy in the shops. there were so many things!!!!!!! everything was hello kitty and her other friends. hahaha.. it was amazing. they had hello kitty plasters, crockery, bags, jewellery, food, make up, etc. just anything that you can think of..

watched the hello kitty version of the nutcracker. the music was really nice, even tho i didn't understand a single word of it :p wonderful entertainment value. hahaha... and they had a hello kitty house!!! everything inside was hello kitty!!!! the doorbell, dressing table, bed, bathtub, television, dining table, fireplace, computer, etc. hahaha... the amout of effort put into every tiny detail was amazing.
and how can one go to sanrio puroland and not take any pictures with hello kitty?!? kawaii!!!we had time so we dropped by shibuya again. there are so many things to buy there, so many shops to go into!!!!!! we went to 109 - 2.. and there were even more things to buy. stocked up on earrings again. we didn't even realise that we shopped for that long. before we knew it, it was already past 8pm!!! hahaha.. and i had my second regret, not buying THAT cap. bleah. was thinking that i don't really need a cap (which is true) and i won't actually put on a cap in singapore (so true) but the cap was really cheap!!!!!!!! about S$25 only!!! and it was so bling bling!!! i like!!! ok, i should stop thinking about it. i'll prob bang my head against the wall for hesitating. bleah.
and we had the best curry rice and hamburger there!!!!!!!! the minced meat that made up the hamburger was so yummy! and the curry, oishi!!!! got the set, so it came with salad for our vege fix and a drink.. only 570yen (approx S$7) which is cheap by japan's standards. and we ate like the locals, at the counter. heh. shiok.
a relatively relaxing day :) for once. hahaha.... we did not over estimate our abilities. hahaha... :p

first stop of the day..... Tsukiji Fish Market!!! where the freshest seafood is. restaurant owners come early in the morning to bid for the freshest seafood that they can lay their hands on. too bad we didn't make it down early enough. missed all the action. but still, we got to see so many fish, some in boxes, ready to be shipped to other parts of japan. and they have weird looking vehicles zooming around. you really got to watch out for traffic there..
and what is going to a fish market without trying any of the sushi bars around right??? with some help from the very very helpful locals, we found ourselves in front of this sushi bar. it's wonderful!!!!!!! the seafood is so fresh, you can taste the sweetness of it. we both got the set which costs 3500yen (about S$43) each and it's totally worth every single cent. the best ever sushi i've ever tasted. wonderful service as usual :) but it's the kind where you have to eat and go cos there's a freaking long queue outside!!! luckily we went early. heh. die die must try.
the tokyo metro has become our favourite mode of transport. it's fast and relatively cheap. and it's comfortable and clean too!!!!!!!!! tho at times, there are a couple of weird posters of almost naked women. heh. off to Ginza!!!!!!!! where we were looking for our Burberry's (it's a 7-storey high store!!!) and Shiseido Beauty Parlor and whatever shopping we could find. but we were too early! got there even before 11am and all the shops were still closed. so we roamed the streets and came across this! a vending machine of a different kind. you buy things like toys, gifts and other raunchy stuff here.. hahaha.... interesting..was actually planning to do my hair at Shiseido but the salon was not open yet. too early to start work. so, too bad, couldn't come back with a funky hair cut! then it was just random shopping. zara was huge. it's like... 3storeys high?!? tried on some clothes there and bu got a rude shock from a little spoilt brat. then swatch!!!!! the lift was amazing!!! it was surrounded by swatch watches!!!!!!! every little corner of the lift!!! and at that building, the show rooms of the different brands of watches had private lifts!!!!!! and each lift was like a mini show case of their products!!
we had loads of time left so we decided to bring forward some plans. so off to nikkei stock exchange! but as technology improves, it's no longer the noisy shouting and violent activities. everything is computerised so we just walked around to take a look. it's was interesting in it's own way. good for ppl going into this line!
next up...... Yasukuni Shrine. felt like we were betraying our ancesters by going there cos this shrine is built for the world war 2 "war heroes" of japan. lots of controvesy when the former PM of japan went to visit and paid his respects. i guess everybody has different views. but from my point of view, they can do whatever they want, cos it's still their ancesters after all. and don't everyone want their ancestors to have a peaceful resting place, regardless of all the wrong-doing? we were probably the only chinese there..
we were so damn tired after that! but we made our way down to the imperial palace. bu was damn grumpy already cos her feet were giving way. hahaha... went in and ummm was quite disappointed due to the lack of things. maybe we were too tired to walk all the way in but from what we saw, it's was just walls, grass, roads. no wonder they say that it's boring to be royalty. took a break at the palace hotel. just sat in their couches, checked with them if the fireworks were still on cos it was drizzling. had to settle dinner. so we went to macs!!!!!! and it ws damn good!!!!!!!!!!!! i had ebi burger, while bu had the teriyaki chicken burger. you can see whole prawns in the ebi filet!!!!! and it was damn shiok!!!!!!!! they had ppl to show you to your seats too!!!!! it's crazy. hahaha... there, we ppl watched cos there were so many ppl dressing up, in preparation for the fireworks later..we were so unprepared for this round of fireworks. the japanese went with mats, food, etc. all ready for a picnic. so we umm.. made do with our maps and plastic bags from our shopping. really. we were in quite a sad state :( the fireworks were ok, 1.5hrs long.. it's crazy. the amount of money that went into the air.. japan is rich. and well, guys would be happy to go too.. cos there were so many girls, dressed in their favourite yukatas, did their hair and make up, just for 1.5 hours of fireworks...
by the end of the day, we were SO tired. legs felt like they were going to fall off. my poor legs, they have worked hard. konked out totally.

You and Me

what day is it
and in what month
this clock never seemed so alive
I can't keep up
and I can't back down
I've been losing so much time

cause it's you and me and all of the people
with nothing to do
nothing to lose
and it's you and me and all of the people
and I don't know why
I can't keep my eyes off of you

all of the things that I want to say
just aren't coming out right
I'm tripping inwards
you got my head spinning
I don't know where to go from here

cause it's you and me and all of the people
with nothing to do
nothing to prove
and it's you and me and all of the people
and I don't know why
I can't keep my eyes off of you

there's something about you now
I can't quite figure out
everything she does is beautiful
everything she does is right

you and me and all of the people
with nothing to do
nothing to lose
and it's you and me and all of the people
and I don't know why
I can't keep my eyes off of you

you and me and all of the people
with nothing to do
nothing to prove
and it's you and me and all of the people
and I don't know why
I can't keep my eyes off of you
